Just
as there are natural laws that govern the world we live in, there are
also universal laws that govern the Internet. Understanding these laws
will not only help you tap into this rich source of information, but
will give you a competitive advantage for your business. We will be
covering each of these "7 Laws" of Internet Research, and help you tap
into them to gain a tangible advantage for your business.
Law 4- Frequency
Yesterday's search does not equal today's search. If I did a search
yesterday, today there is more and different information available. And
conversely, today's search does not equal yesterday's search. It sounds
like the same thing but it is different. The Internet provides a "time
machine" of sorts. If you wanted, you could go on the "way back
machine" and see one of my first companies. I pressed t-shirts and had
the website tshirts.net. You can still go back and see what I was doing
back in 1993, although it's no longer available.
What is the implication of this? It means that you want to save
your results and be able to see patterns and usage of information over
